I simply love Chan Luu’s jewelry designs. However, many of us cannot afford to buy designer jewelry as often as we would like (or at all :-). And, if you are the crafty sort, you might prefer making your own jewelry because it is fun and you can totally customize your design to make it personal. So, in case you have been wondering how to make your own wrap bracelet inspired by similar gemstone bracelets offered by Chan Luu, here is a free DIY bracelet tutorial from Make it and Fake it’s blog!
Nice step by step instructions are included, with more photos here:
To make your own Chan Luu inspired bracelets (which would also make fab holiday gifts), select some nice beads, and a pretty button or clasp. Get some thin leather cord, cotton waxed cord, or other material to use for the “frame”, and some clear fishing line or clear beading cord which will be used to string all the beads to the frame. Add a couple knots and you’re ready to go. You will need some patience because it will take a little while to string all the beads (larger beads will make it go a bit faster than tiny ones!)
I hope you enjoy this great free DIY bracelet project, and thanks to the fab Fake It and Make It blog for sharing this project! Great job.
